The Pharmacy Search screen appears when a user initiates a search from a Pharmacy field.
The following screen shows a sample pharmacy search.
To Search for a Pharmacy
To search for a pharmacy:
Enter at least one search criteria. You may search by pharmacy's Name, Zip Code, State or area code (without parentheses).
Click Search. The results list displays all the pharmacies that match your search criteria.
You may narrow the results list by entering two or more fields as shown on the next illustration:
Select the correct pharmacy (by clicking the radio button next to it).
Click Select to select the pharmacy and return to the previous screen.
Click Select & Save to Preferences to select the pharmacy, add it to the list of Pharmacy favorites and return to the previous screen.
The following table describes the contents of the Pharmacy Search screen:

Name |
This is the pharmacy name. This field supports the use of wild card characters such as "*" or "%". |
Address |
This is the pharmacy's address. |
Zip/City/State |
This is the zip code, city and state of the pharmacy's address. |
Phone |
This is the pharmacy's telephone number. The Phone field allows searching by area code. A minimum of 3 digits are needed to invoke a wild card search. |
Close |
This button closes the window. |
Search |
This button initiates a search. |
Reset |
This button clears the search criteria and results list. |
Print List |
This button prints the pharmacy results list. |
Select |
The Select button selects the pharmacy and adds it to the patient record. After clicking this button, the user is returned to the previous screen, where the Pharmacy field is populated with the selected item. |
Select and Save to Preferences |
This button performs the same action as Select, and adds the selected pharmacy to the Pharmacy preferences list. |
