The Patient menu provides access to the Patient Chart, Today's List and Link Patient menu options.
Patient Chart is used to store and maintain patient related information
Today's List allows users to see all the patients that are scheduled for the current day and to schedule future visits
Link Patient allows consolidating duplicate patient records into a single record
When you select Patient Chart from the Patient menu the Patient Lookup window appears.
To search for a patient enter Account Number, Name or Social Security Number and click Search.
When the correct patient record appears, click Select to access the patient record. The patient record populates the Patient Chart window.
If no patient records are found matching your search criteria the following message appears:
No matching patients found. Search again or click the "New Patient" button to continue.
If this happens, click Reset to do a new search using different criteria.
Spelling and typographical errors often occur. The search data must be the same as the one found in the database. To expand your search, try using fewer characters and a wildcard such as "*" or "%". For example, in the previous example you might search using "Le*" instead of "Lew*".
When searching by Social Security Number, dashes are optional. The following are both valid entries: 495-90-8950 or 495908950. This field does not support wild card searches.
To create a new patient record, click the New Patient button.
