Using Preference Lists

Preferred lists are a time saving feature that enable users to perform repetitive tasks more efficiently.

The Admin, Preference Lists menu option lets you carry out recurrent tasks quickly without having to go through multiple screens and numerous key strokes.  Preference lists will help you streamline many common tasks you do with Clinician.

Clinician allows to create and maintain preference lists for the following:

The last three items on this list support ePrescribing and Rx Refill Management functions.

You can maintain and modify these preference lists to suit your own requirements.  The following is a sample of common tasks you can expedite by using preferred lists:

Each Facility can set up its own set of preference lists and make them accessible to all its users.

Users can setup different preference lists for every Facility they have access to.  Preference lists are linked to a user account at a Facility.

When viewing a preference list, the items on the list are combined and sorted alphanumerically, depending on what type of data they contain.  Lists of caregivers and payers are sorted in alphabetical order. Lists of  ICD9 and test codes are sorted numerically by code.  Each item on a list includes a descriptive comment next to it.
